Summary

Nine sports betting apps ranked for NFL bettors on cost per bet, App Store and Google Play ratings, live betting and in-app deposits and withdrawals.

Key takeaways

  • Top pick: Novig ranks first because pre-game straight bets in its app carry no fee and no built-in vig, the lowest cost on this list for a standard NFL side or total.

  • Ratings: Hard Rock Bet has the highest App Store score here at 4.9, and FanDuel has the most ratings, about 2.3 million at 4.8. On Google Play, DraftKings leads at 4.8.

  • Live betting: bet365 has the most built-out in-game section, with streaming and a live match tracker. Novig charges a small taker fee on live trades.

  • Two kinds of app: sportsbooks are licensed state by state, while prediction markets such as Novig and Kalshi operate under federal CFTC regulation and reach more states.

  • Data date: every app-store rating in this article was read on October 12, 2026.

The best sports betting apps for NFL bettors in 2026

A welcome offer pays out once. An app’s pricing applies to every bet you make for the rest of the season, and so does the speed of its in-game markets and its withdrawals. This list ranks apps on those.

It mixes two kinds of app. Sportsbooks such as FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM set the line, build a margin into it, and operate only in states that license them. Prediction markets such as Novig and Kalshi match users against each other under regulation from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which is how they reach states without a legal sportsbook. FanDuel, DraftKings and Fanatics now also run a prediction-market product inside their sportsbook apps. The mechanics are covered in our guide to prediction markets vs sportsbooks.

The ranking weighs four things in this order: what a standard NFL bet costs in the app, App Store and Google Play ratings, live-betting tools, and how deposits and withdrawals work in the app. On a sportsbook, a standard point spread or total is priced at -110 on both sides, so you risk $110 to win $100 and the book keeps about 4.5% of the money wagered on the two sides combined. Welcome bonuses are left out because they change week to week.

1. Novig: no vig on pre-game bets

Novig is a peer-to-peer sports prediction market. Its registered entity, Ludlow Exchange, LLC, which does business as Novig, was designated a contract market by the CFTC on June 16, 2026. A bet on Novig is a trade: you buy a contract on an outcome at a price between $0 and $1, another user takes the other side, and a winning contract pays $1.

Cost is why it’s first. Under Novig’s published fee schedule, pre-game straight trades taken in the app carry no fee on either side, and there’s no house margin in the price. At even money, 100 contracts at 50 cents cost $50 and return $100 if they win, a $50 profit on $50. A sportsbook at -110 asks $55 to win the same $50. Fees do apply to takers on live trades (0.03 x price x (1 - price) per contract on NFL games, or 75 cents per 100 contracts at even money), on futures, and on parlays, where the fee is already in the quoted price. A maker whose resting order gets filled pays nothing on any trade type.

The app covers pro and college football along with player props, parlays and live in-game trading, and a position can be sold before it settles instead of held to the final whistle. Novig’s help center lists it as available nationwide except Arizona, Michigan and Nevada, with a minimum age of 21. Its 4.6 App Store score comes from about 6,100 ratings, a small fraction of the big books’ totals, and it’s the lowest App Store score on this list.

  • Best for: bettors who mostly play pre-game sides, totals and props and would rather not pay vig on them

  • App Store rating: 4.6 out of 5 (6,108 ratings)

  • Google Play rating: 4.5 out of 5 (about 1,600 reviews)

  • Pricing: no fee on pre-game straight trades; taker fees on live, futures and parlay trades

  • Live betting: in-game trading, with the option to sell a position before it settles

  • Where it works: every state except Arizona, Michigan and Nevada (21+)

2. FanDuel Sportsbook: the most-rated betting app

FanDuel’s sportsbook is built around live betting and same-game parlays, and its NFL markets carry standard sportsbook pricing with the margin in the line. The iPhone app has about 2.3 million ratings at an average of 4.8, more than any other app here; the Android app trails at 4.4. FanDuel also runs FanDuel Predicts, a prediction market offered by FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant, inside the same app, and which product a user sees depends on the state.

  • Best for: same-game parlays and an app most bettors already know

  • App Store rating: 4.8 out of 5 (about 2.3 million ratings)

  • Google Play rating: 4.4 out of 5 (386,000 reviews)

  • Pricing: margin built into sportsbook odds

  • Live betting: in-game markets and live same-game parlays

  • Where it works: sportsbook in licensed states (21+, 18+ in DC and Wyoming); FanDuel Predicts in other states

3. DraftKings: live betting and props

DraftKings’ App Store listing calls it the No. 1 sportsbook for live betting based on available live market data, and the NFL menu runs from real-time spreads and totals to player props on passing yards and touchdowns. Its 4.8 on Google Play is the best Android score on this list and matches its App Store average across 1.3 million ratings. DraftKings Predictions, offered through a CFTC-registered introducing broker, runs in the same app, and the App Store listing says the app is now live in all 50 states. The sportsbook itself is limited to licensed states.

  • Best for: bettors who live-bet NFL games and build props

  • App Store rating: 4.8 out of 5 (about 1.3 million ratings)

  • Google Play rating: 4.8 out of 5 (311,000 reviews)

  • Pricing: margin built into sportsbook odds

  • Live betting: real-time spreads, moneylines, totals and props that update during play

  • Where it works: sportsbook in licensed states (21+, 18+ in DC, New Hampshire, Puerto Rico and Wyoming); DraftKings Predictions in other states

4. bet365: in-game tools and streaming

Live betting is where bet365’s app puts its effort. Its listing describes thousands of in-game markets, live streaming of events worldwide (its listing names soccer and basketball leagues), and Match Live, a tracker that follows a game with stats while your bets run. It adds daily odds boosts and an early payout offer. The US app works in 16 states plus Washington, DC, and is rated 4.8 on the App Store and 4.6 on Google Play.

  • Best for: bettors who bet and watch on the same phone

  • App Store rating: 4.8 out of 5 (350,777 ratings)

  • Google Play rating: 4.6 out of 5 (68,000 reviews)

  • Pricing: margin built into sportsbook odds, with daily boosts on selected markets

  • Live betting: in-game markets, streaming and the Match Live tracker

  • Where it works: 16 states plus DC (21+, 18+ in DC)

5. BetMGM: the widest set of bet types

BetMGM’s app lists more bet formats than most: teasers, round robins, alternate lines and cash out alongside the usual spreads, totals and same-game parlays. Rewards points earned on bets can be redeemed for bonus bets or at MGM resorts. The App Store listing names 23 states plus Washington, DC and Puerto Rico. Its iPhone app is rated 4.8, but on Google Play it’s at 4.0, the lowest Android rating on this list.

  • Best for: bettors who use teasers and round robins on NFL Sundays

  • App Store rating: 4.8 out of 5 (261,234 ratings)

  • Google Play rating: 4.0 out of 5 (40,900 reviews)

  • Pricing: margin built into sportsbook odds

  • Live betting: in-game markets with cash out

  • Where it works: 23 states plus DC and Puerto Rico (21+)

6. Kalshi: the most-rated prediction market app

Kalshi’s contracts trade between 1 cent and 99 cents and pay $1 if correct, the same model Novig uses. It’s a CFTC-designated contract market, and its iPhone app has about 596,000 ratings at 4.8, the largest base among the prediction markets here. Kalshi charges a transaction fee on its trades, while Novig’s pre-game straights carry none. Kalshi also lists markets on economics, weather and culture next to football, and opens accounts at 18.

  • Best for: bettors who want NFL contracts and non-sports markets in one account

  • App Store rating: 4.8 out of 5 (about 596,000 ratings)

  • Google Play rating: 4.7 out of 5 (135,000 reviews)

  • Pricing: transaction fee on trades, set by Kalshi’s published fee schedule

  • Live betting: contracts can be sold at any time before they settle

  • Where it works: most states under CFTC regulation; Kalshi notes its products aren’t available in every jurisdiction (18+)

7. Fanatics Sportsbook: rewards on every bet

Fanatics pays FanCash on sportsbook bets, prediction-market trades and casino play, redeemable for gear at Fanatics.com. One account covers the sportsbook and Fanatics Markets, a prediction market run by Morton St. Trading Investments, LLC, a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant, depending on location. The app also covers eligible player props hit by a first-half injury. At 713 MB it’s the largest download on this list.

  • Best for: bettors who already buy from Fanatics

  • App Store rating: 4.8 out of 5 (285,508 ratings)

  • Google Play rating: 4.7 out of 5 (59,500 reviews)

On the betting side it has Flex Your Parlay, which keeps an eligible parlay alive after one missed leg, and Watch & Bet on select games. The App Store listing names 23 states plus Washington, DC and Puerto Rico. Ratings sit a step below the leaders at 4.7 on the App Store and 4.5 on Google Play.

How to choose a sports betting app

  • Cost per bet: on a -110 line a sportsbook keeps about 4.5% of the money on both sides. An app with no fee on pre-game straight bets, such as Novig, removes that cost; fees on live bets, futures and parlays vary by app.

  • Ratings in context: a 4.8 from two million ratings and a 4.8 from a few thousand are different results. Check the count, and check Google Play too, since eight of the nine apps here score lower on Android than on iPhone.

  • Live betting: in-game prices move between plays, so the speed of the bet slip matters more than the size of the menu. Cash out, or selling a position on a prediction market, lets you exit before the final whistle.

  • Banking: most apps send withdrawals back to a method you’ve already deposited with, so pick a deposit method you’d also want to be paid with.

  • Availability: sportsbooks work only in states that license them, and prediction markets reach more states. Our state-by-state guide to where sports betting is legal covers the current map.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best sports betting app for NFL betting?

Novig ranks first here on cost, since pre-game straight bets in its app carry no fee and no vig. Among sportsbooks, FanDuel and DraftKings have the most App Store ratings and the deepest NFL menus. Desktop and web options are covered in our list of the best NFL betting sites.

Which sports betting app has the highest rating?

On the App Store, Hard Rock Bet had the highest score on October 12, 2026, at 4.9 from about 354,000 ratings. FanDuel had the most ratings, about 2.3 million, at 4.8. On Google Play, DraftKings led at 4.8.

Which betting app is best for live betting?

bet365 has the most built-out live section, with streaming and its Match Live tracker. DraftKings calls itself the top sportsbook for live betting based on live market data. On Novig, live trades carry a small taker fee that pre-game trades don’t.

Are prediction market apps legal in every state?

Novig and Kalshi operate under CFTC regulation instead of state sports betting licenses, which is why they reach states without a legal sportsbook. Novig lists itself as available everywhere except Arizona, Michigan and Nevada. Several states are contesting prediction markets in court, so availability can change.

How fast do betting apps pay out?

It depends on the app and the method. Kalshi says debit card withdrawals usually arrive within a few hours. Caesars says many approved debit card withdrawals post within an hour, while its ACH bank option generally takes one to two business days.

What’s the difference between a sportsbook app and a prediction market app?

A sportsbook sets the odds and takes the other side of your bet, with its margin built into the price. A prediction market matches you with another user, and the price is whatever the two of you agree on, with any fee charged separately.
